With the weather changing from the warm, yet rainy, summer we have had this year, we are now well on our way into Autumn. Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year; a time when leaves turn from bright greens to an assortment of warm ruby red, oranges, browns and yellows falling from the trees.

Autumn is a hive of activity for wildlife too, and these idyllic scenes encapsulate some of the most beautiful areas of Great Britain. There’s nothing better than taking your dog and your family out for an Autumn walk rustling through the leaves and your pooch’s nose exploring on its own little adventure. Bradgate Park, Leicestershire

Situated in the in the heart of the national forest, Bradgate park is a public park in Charnwood Forest, Leicestershire. Covering 850 acres, Bradgate Park features a river, old manor house ruins and has incredible wildlife including squirrels, deer, and stag.

With refreshment facilities available within the park, it is popular with hikers, walkers, and runners.

Dunwich Heath, Suffolk

Enjoy the great circular walk of Dunwich Heath, Suffolk. With both coastal and heathland views of gorse and heather, this escape offers you you peace, quiet and beautiful scenery.

With a clifftop tea-room, picnic, and children’s play area, it’s a great day out for all the family.

Nant Gywnant, Gwyned

Explore the lower slopes of Nant Gywnant, North Wales. Spanning 3.8miles discover a landscape of mountain hills, ruins, wooded glades, and feral goats. Lying close to Snowdonia, this beautiful valley is idea for walkers and hikers.

Hyde Park

It may be the capital, but London has several beautiful walks for you and your dog, and Hyde Park is up there with the best of them. Hyde Park gives your pooch the perfect opportunity to stretch their legs and sniff around, and lets you forage around the sweet chestnut trees of Rotten Row.

Hardwick

The Hardwick estate provides a variety of walks and trails suitable for the entire family. With a selection of routes to choose from, some paths cross fields with livestock, so it is recommended to always keep your dog on a lead.

From short walks to six-mile trails discovering usually missed parts of the estates, there is something for everyone. TIP: some routes through the gardens of Hardwick require admission tickets, so double check your route to avoid any disappointment.

Kinver Edge

Kinver Edge is a high heath, woodland ridge, and hill fort on the border between Worcestershire and Staffordshire. Boasting miles of open countryside and walking trails, the footpaths showcase and abundance of animals and wildlife. Kinver Edge also homes some rare wildlife species which they encourage to preserve and protect.

Hardcastle Crags

Hardcastle Crags is a both a dog and walker’s dream. With over 15 miles of walkways and footpaths to explore, there’s something for the relaxed friendly walker or those who want more of a challenge or adventure.
